I was born in 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. Since I was a teenager, I had interest in different forms of art, from Oil Painting to Wood Carving & Wire Art. I began college at De Paul University as an art major, however, I learned that in order to survive, I would need a solid job, I then changed Majors & became a Registered Nurse. After getting married and raising two daughters, I have retired after 39 years from Nursing & am now pursuing my love of art full time.
Upon my husband Retiring, we moved to the Rocky Mountains of Estes Park, CO & Naples, FL. Recently we moved to Flat Rock, NC & we now live between North Carolina & Naples, FL where I have my Art Studios.
While living in Colorado, I had some success selling Wood Carvings, Paintings & Wire Sculptures at various local stores & Studios.
When I am not Painting, Carving or Sculpting, I spend my time running in various Ultra Running events (100 mile races) in various locations.
My experience as a Nurse, Ultrarunner & having lived across this country gives me a unique view of the world. I Try to incorporate this insight into my work so the viewer can “experience” the painting….
